Work at the interface of mathematics, computer science, statistics, and remote sensing includes continuous classification algorithms, homotopy methods for semisupervised machine learning, constrained clustering, massively parallel algorithms, hyperspectral data analysis, dimension reduction, and robust statistics. The figure shows a continuous tree classification (four classes, continuous iterative guided spectral class rejection classification algorithm) from AVIRIS data of a Virginia state forest.
